Localities
Where agricultural trade is actually visible on this forum — triangulated from three independent signals, not from counting how often a place is named.
The Lagos–Ogun–Oyo corridor leads on all three signals by a wide margin: it is where prices are quoted, where buyers post, and what gets discussed. If the marketplace rolls out one locality at a time, this contiguous south-western block is where the forum's evidence points.
The disagreements matter as much as the agreement. Benue and Kaduna are discussed far more than they are traded in (81 and 72 discussion threads against 29 and 40 price threads) — the pattern you would expect from production regions being talked about by buyers who are somewhere else.
Three signals, shown separately
Deliberately not blended into a score. A score would hide the disagreement, and the disagreement is what tells you whether a row means "a market" or "one busy thread". All three count distinct threads.

States appearing in only one signal are omitted: a single column almost always means one busy thread rather than a market. 37 states appear at all, 26 in all three. Discussion bars are drawn in the warn colour as a reminder that they are the weakest of the three — proximity to a conversation, not to a transaction.
Why not just count mentions
The obvious method — rank states by how often they
appear in locations_mentioned — answers a different question. That field records
what a page discussed, so a Lagos trader asking about Benue yams tags Benue, and a
national policy thread tags nowhere in particular. It would also have been wrong for a more
embarrassing reason until recently: the gazetteer matched state names as bare substrings, so
every location containing the word "Nigeria" resolved to Niger State, making Niger look like
45% of all located prices. It is now 28 price threads. How that was
found.
